In this short video, I talk about getting clear on why you want to write a novel. This is critically important, because it dictates how and what you write. For example, if you're writing a story just for family and friends with no desire to earn a living from it, that dictates a certain way to approach the task because, seriously, who cares if it sells or not? On the other hand, if you want to become a writer and make a living off your art, you'll have to consider what the market wants, not just what you want. Different approach all together.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on how to write a best-selling novel. Chime in with a comment and start the convo.
